About SW FL PODS Angels

 

In 1998, a group of parents whose children had Down syndrome formed PODS Angels. They envisioned an organized network of resources. This vision has taken PODS Angels from an emerging grass roots parent movement to a premier nonprofit organization focused on advancements in education, inclusion and acceptance of people with Down syndrome.

SW FL PODS Angels operates in SW Florida areas, initially formed in Cape Coral, Florida in 2002 keeping an active branch in the Cape, then moved the home office in April 2015 to LaBelle, Florida so people in rural areas have access to the same great materials as people in the city chapter.

The Goals of SW FL PODS Angels is to offer help for
Quality of Life

• encourage active participation in the community
• foster positive attitudes
• help individuals with Down syndrome reach their full potential
